Sportradar, the leading sports technology and data business, has expanded its partnership with the NBA by launching new technology tools designed to transform how basketball fans experience the game. The Switzerland-based company introduced four cutting-edge products that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and official NBA data, including advanced player movement tracking.
Eric Conrad, Sportradar’s Executive Vice President, emphasised the company’s dedication to strengthening its relationship with the NBA while helping betting operators and media outlets capitalise on the league’s global popularity. "Sportradar’s proprietary technology, driven by powerful AI and deep data, continues to reimagine how fans interact with the NBA. We’re excited about the future as we push the boundaries of innovation," Conrad said.
One of the key features is the Virtual Live Match Tracker, which offers 3D real-time visualisations of games, allowing fans to view action from multiple angles. In addition, Sportradar has adapted its 4Sight Streaming technology—originally used in tennis—for NBA games, enabling predictive insights and animated overlays to enhance viewers’ understanding of the game.
Another highlight is the Advanced Visualisations tool, which converts skeletal tracking data into interactive graphics, illustrating player movement patterns and performance metrics. Sportradar also expanded its emBET feature, initially introduced on NBA League Pass, to more devices including smart TVs and Android platforms.
These innovative features are available to the NBA's media partners and licensed betting operators, providing a more immersive experience for basketball fans worldwide.
