Riyadh Season, the Saudi Arabian sports events organization, has announced a significant partnership with British boxing promotion BOXXER. The collaboration kicked off with the ‘High Voltage’ event on 19 October, headlined by a Super Lightweight bout between Adam Azim and Ohara Davies, where Azim secured an 8th-round stoppage. The fight, held at London’s Copperbox Arena, marks the first of many boxing events that Riyadh Season and BOXXER will jointly produce in the UK and Ireland.
BOXXER’s Founder & CEO, Ben Shalom, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We are honored to partner with Riyadh Season and support His Excellency Turki Alashikh’s vision for boxing. Last Saturday’s opening show was spectacular, and we look forward to many more events.”
This new collaboration with BOXXER adds to Riyadh Season’s strong ties with UK promoters, including Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions. BOXXER aims to leverage Riyadh Season’s backing to expand its global reach, grow its audience in the UK and Ireland, and continue its broadcasts in over 150 countries worldwide.
