LFP and WSC Sports Forge Five-Year Partnership for AI-Driven Video Content

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), France’s governing body for professional soccer, has entered a five-year partnership with WSC Sports, an Israeli AI-driven sports video content company, to revolutionise the digital experience for French soccer fans. Under the agreement, WSC Sports will produce, manage, and distribute video content from Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and the Trophée des Champions in real-time, using artificial intelligence to create a tailored fan experience.

Through this collaboration, WSC Sports will analyse every match in the top two French leagues as well as in key championship games, generating a diverse range of personalised video highlights in multiple durations, formats, and aspect ratios. This flexible content will be available on LFP’s platforms, including its website, apps, and social media channels, and will be shared with international broadcasters via a centralised media hub.

In addition to capturing upcoming games, the AI technology will also tap into the leagues’ 20-year archive, allowing memorable moments to be reformatted for new audiences. LFP Media CEO Ben Morel expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our digital content strategy is absolutely central to our broader objectives, and we are thrilled to partner with WSC Sports, a proven pioneer in AI-tailored content experiences.

Their platform will propel our ability to produce and share more content on LFP channels and with our global broadcast partners.”

This expansion is bolstered by a new three-year agreement with Eurovision Services, which will distribute over 1,200 hours of live French soccer worldwide from the current 2024-25 season through 2026-27. Eurovision Services will leverage satellite, cable, and Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) technology to enhance the global reach of French soccer.

WSC Sports has been rapidly expanding its presence in global soccer, recently partnering with top leagues in the Czech Republic, Belgium, and the U.S.-based National Women’s Soccer League. The company also recently announced a multi-year deal with German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund, further solidifying its role as a leader in AI-driven sports content distribution.
