Deloitte Secures Expanded Role as Technology Integration Partner for the Olympic Games

Deloitte has solidified its position as a key player in the world of sports technology with a new agreement that extends its partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through to 2032. As part of this agreement, Deloitte will serve as the technology integration partner for the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games, and the Youth Olympic Games from the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026 to the Olympic Games Brisbane 2032.

Headquartered in London, Deloitte will be responsible for designing, building, implementing, operating, and securing technology integration, application development, and cybersecurity services over the six-year span. This partnership aims to revolutionise the way the Olympic and Paralympic Games are experienced by fans and delivered globally.

In April 2022, the IOC and Deloitte announced a decade-long partnership encompassing five Olympic and Paralympic Games, highlighting Deloitte’s role in transforming the digital landscape of the Games. Deloitte remains one of the IOC's elite 'The Olympic Partner' (TOP) sponsors, a prestigious group that includes global brands such as Airbnb, Allianz, Coca-Cola, Intel, Panasonic, P&G, Samsung, Toyota, and Visa.

"This is an exciting moment for Deloitte as we build on the incredible work we have already begun with the IOC around digital transformation, knowledge management infrastructure, as well as programmes supporting athletes and sustainability initiatives," said John Skowron, Deloitte Vice Chairman – Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Skowron emphasised that Deloitte’s ongoing partnership with the IOC, initiated in 2022 under the theme "partnership with purpose," aims to harness Deloitte's capabilities to advance shared ambitions of making a positive global impact through sport.

Ilario Corna, IOC Chief Information and Technology Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded collaboration. "Together with Deloitte, we are excited to explore new possibilities and drive forward the future of technology in sport. Our shared vision of excellence and innovation will ensure that the Olympic Games remain a symbol of human potential and achievement," Corna said. He added that the partnership will continue to set new benchmarks and inspire future generations through a commitment to technological advancement and excellence in the world of sport.

With this expanded role, Deloitte is poised to play a crucial part in shaping the future of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological innovation and global sportsmanship.
