AFC Expands Visa Partnership to Strengthen Football Across Asia






The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced an expanded partnership with Visa, extending the financial services giant’s sponsorship to cover a broader range of tournaments, including World Cup qualifiers, AFC Champions League Elite, and women’s competitions. This deal further strengthens Visa’s position as a dominant commercial partner in Asian football, reinforcing the financial sector’s increasing interest in sports sponsorships across emerging markets.


Visa’s extended deal underscores the growing importance of corporate sponsorship in international football, particularly as Middle Eastern and Asian markets continue to expand their presence on the global stage.
